An ad for Amazon Prime making its rounds over social media features the friendship between priest and an imam. If you haven’t watched the spot, you should… essentially, they both discover they share the same problem and – through Amazon – they help each other out.
It’s a very heartwarming trope and especially timely during these times (and season).
My faith in humanity was restored after I read this story in Relevant Magazine that reveals the actual priest and imam from the commercial met for the first time on the set of the commercial and have since become close friends.

Gong Xi Fa Cai – Happy Chinese New Year 2011!
Traditionally, the Malaysian national petroleum company Petronas will come out with some of the best season greeting ads – and for Chinese New Year this year, it’s no different. They certainly stumbled upon their niche of heartwarming greetings centered on family values (more so, especially since the Chinese are heavily influenced by Confucianism, of which filial piety remains one of the most vital tenets). This year’s ad is pretty good and is my favourite among all others this year:
However, to me, this is one of their best ones ever:
